Matopos' cave paintings

Click to enlarge the picture We put up our tents near a river and then climbed up the hills for half an hour to get to Silozwane cave. From there the view was wonderful. We could hear sounds coming from the villages below. We spent about one hour there, watching the sunset.
The cave is not very big, but the paintings are well-preserved. Through them we could imagine the San's everyday life (hunting, eating…). Animals and human beings are all painted in red. What surprised us most was that nobody was there to watch the cave (free entry) ! Click to enlarge the picture
