Makgadikgadi National Park

Click to enlarge the picture During the night, we heard a herd of elephants going by. In the morning, we woke up and found the skeleton of an antelope. It was lying just at a few meters from the tents !!! We had to set to work again and try to find a way to free the vehicle from the sand. With the help of about 10 local people, we finally managed to dig it out at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.
Makgadikgadi Pans are part of the Kalahari desert (which spreads over 80% of Botswana). On the road, we watched several small tornadoes… and a lovely sunset. Click to enlarge the picture
