The Okavango River starts on the Benguiela Plateau in Angola and never
reaches any ocean. At the end, the water spread over a large area (in the Kalahari),
and from this results the formation of the Delta. This wetland is really an oasis in
the desert. It has become a sanctuary for many species (hippos, elephants, buffaloes,
giraffes, antelopes and about 300 different birds species).
