The varying nature of the landscapes in the Delta surprised us. Grasslands alternate with forests. A lot of trees are lying on the ground, they have been pulled up by elephants who feed on leaves and roots. We were also impressed by the number of termite nests, it was incredible. Sometimes we could see herds of impalas and colonies of baboons passing by.

In the heart of the Delta, the landscape is again different, comprising of palm-trees and pools.
